hey guys..

dunno if anyone has done a review but anyway i just wanted to share with you guys my experience with the new Pivot Mega Raizin (purple).

It's basically the latest voltage stablizer offering from pivot and does fancy stuff like read voltage and what not...I don't know much about electronics but more interested in performance gains.

As most, I was skeptical about the claims of power, torque and mileage etc but i decided to try one.

Impressions?

IT'S GREAT!!!!

the car serious DOES respond A LOT quicker and it does feel like there is more torque...so i'm very impressed!

best value for money mod ever.

you can read a review by a nsx guy on google somewhere who also had awesome results.

I guess it KINDA feels like going from a unichip TO a ECU-reflash where your cams have been tuned...ie you get a bit more performance and the car responds a whole lot better.

keep in mind that having modded my my03 wrex to almost 200ATW, and i'm impressed by this piece of kit!

I normally get 300km out of my tank driving aggressively...i had it on for a 2 days with about 1/4 tank to go driving as i normally do and i got to 310km before the fuel light came on. i'm expecting better results when i try it with a full tank.

I bought this kit on ebay from "rickyshaw". he's a new seller and doing them pretty cheap to get his rating up.

Totally awesome guy. Arrived via urgeny fedex within 2-3 days from My bubble wrapped and all. The responds within a few hours of contacting him with any questions and is very helpful.

i was initially concerned if i was getting a genuine Pivot as i know there was an issue with copycat blue raizins but i'm pretty sure mine is real cuz it works so well!

anyway, cost me $90 delivered.

i figure for $90, you can't go wrong...i'm glad i got this tweak.

i know some might be skeptical still but don't flame me unless you've actually tried the mega raizin for yourself.

anyway thought i'd share my experience with you all.

cheers

nsx forum review here..

"Impressions:
---------------------------------------------------------------
I did drove the car all this afternoon prior to installing it tonight.

Well, it claimed better audio, definitely no
brighter headlights, I could not tell the difference what so ever
better idle, again I could not tell

Throttle Responds holy mother fu##ing no way especially in first gear, I am still in a bit of shock, how can such tiny little blue box does such wonder?

Huge difference, throttle responds is insane, I mean, the car just jumps when you barely tap the throttle. Placebo effect, I dare say fu#k no, try it, then flame me to no end if you don't notice a difference. It took me a little while to get used to the new throttle responds, I am definitely not complaining.

Someone is going to flame me or bring up the scientific crap again. I don't mind at all as long as you have actually tried it and do not notice any difference.

Low end really felt much better, Privot Raizin gets 10 out of 10 from me. I can't wait to install the other unit in the Supra tomorrow."

dunno man..i guess they perform the same function..

like a car is a carriage on 4 wheels....what makes a porsche better than a corolla? *l*

all i can speak for is my personal experience with the mega raizin.

and for $90 i'm not complaining. i have no commercial interest but just uber stoked about a gadget that i'm sure ppl have been wondered about.

From what i gather these things minimise resistance to earth/neutral there fore making your battery more efficient.

So you could DIY a new earthing system...just buy higher CSA cable. From what i can see anyway.. im no auto electrician, but i am an electrician :)

hmm..i read something about stablising voltage during times of load or something like that?

all i know is it's definitely an improvement for me. i know nothing about electricity...accounting standards is more my game (unfortunately) :)

Stabalizing Voltage? Isnt that a capacitor? and doesnt the alternator have a capacitator anyhow? I could be wrong...

Car chicks are pure attention whores who get way more limelight than they deserve so always have a chip on their shoulder about why they're so amazing and out of your league because they bought a set of tail lights at autobarn and are now part of a male dominated hobby. I never got that much attention from the ladies when I was into barbies so screw them all

You are kidding aren`t you? Are you on their payroll?

Remember Brockie`s Polarizer?, this thing is in the same boat-a complete con.

No I am not going to buy one before I rubbish it, and yes I am in electronics .
