Gday All

Just wondering if anyone knows what brand makes gauges in a black face with green backlight (Basically want it to match the subaru dash). I thought Defi made some but can only find info on blue or red, same with Blitz.

Also I saw a pic of someone who had gauges mounted in a modified instrument cluster on the sides??? Looked like the surround had been modified to accomodate the gauges.

If you guys have them could you shows pics. I saw one ages ago, but wasnt interested in gauges at the time.

Any help would be great!

Cheers

You need the DEFI Link gauges.
DEFI also have the WHite or Amber backlights (DEFI BF) and the DEFI Racing blue or something which is available only in the US (doesn't stop us from imptoring though )

Defi-link gauges on my USDM WRX.
You will notice that the USDM WRX had orange needles on the cluster for 2002/2003.... :-(
The Defi matches perfectly.

Autometer gauges are great in every regard (quality, price, range etc).

Some of them have green light some of them don't. But you can use specially made autometer color plastic covers to make them light in any color you want.

I must be the exception to the rule on that one. I had 3 autometer and 2 died within a year, EGT and Boost. Both rooted - no replacement or support from autometer. I went Defi and never looked back.

Yes I like defis too, but I didn't know that they come with a green light too. I have only seen them in amber and blue.

Could you please gives us some details on the defis you got? Like models, numbers etc. They look great in your pic.

Thanks

Not a fan of Autometer same as Aussieinstlouis had 3 fail in my dad race car. I like the green of the Defi...

Looks like Defi is the way to go, should have got some when I was in Japan! But do you have to get the link gauges or can you get stand alone gauges. Everythin I read is for the link gauges.

Thanks for the help guys, i think the pic I saw of the interior was red ie - STI.

The Defi-Link series are the green ones.
Defi BF are white with red needles and black faces
Defi BF Amber are STi red with red needles (perfect match as Defi make the STi cluster)
This is my current car.

and to answer the questions from the other thread - personally, I much prefer electronic gauges and particularly daisy chained ones. The install is so much easier. you only tap power and lighting ONCE. The lighting levels are adjustable. Electronic will record data. Warning levels are easy to set.

The daisy chain means it is also easy to add gauges as budget allows.
